Watcher's Council Results, 11/21/08

The Council has spoken! A complete rundown of the voting tallies is here.

Among the Council members, the winner this week was Joshuapundit with The Afghanistan Blues , my analysis of how president-elect Obama appears to be likely to fight that 'real war' in Afghanistan..many thanks gang, and I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Coming in second was The Colossus of Rhodey for Oh, the musical memories … Hube's reminiscing about his European tour with a jazz band.

Also getting votes were Bookworm Room with Perpetually Selfish Anger and Victimhood and Rhymes With Right for Intolerant Gays Attacking Religion

Among the non-Council entries, the winners were both sort of non-blog pieces. The winner was Paul Kengor at American Thinker on How the Academic Left Elected Obama

In second place was John Kass at the Chicago Tribune for Obama and the Chicago Way

As usual, congratulations not only to the winners, but to all the participants.

I'm VERY impressed by the appearance of John Kass of the Chicago Tribune in this list of recommended reading. He is 1 of the very best city columnists which I have read during my very long life. His columns re the Democratic Party & Republican Party 'combine' are both immensely instructive & hysterically funny. ( 'Combine', a word whose usage in this context I think he invented, refers to how the Dems & GOP work shadily together at the local, State, & federal level, with an emphasis on the state of Illinois & 'Crook' County, sc, Chicago.)
